Sharing GRACE and People Feeding People

Due to the abundant challenges being caused by the coronavirus outbreak, many families in Northeast Ohio are facing financial hardship. We have such a generous community, as evidenced by many of you reaching out to ask how you can assist others during this time. We are  partnering with the ‘Sharing GRACE Ministry’ at Bethany Lutheran Church in Parma and ‘People Feeding People’ at Messiah Lutheran Church, Fairview Park. The PDF available here includes examples of items that can be donated at either of these locations. The items listed under 'Sharing GRACE' are the items that they usually accept as donations, even prior to the current crisis. You can hold on to this list if you would like to continue to support Sharing GRACE after the COVID-19 crisis subsides. The Sharing GRACE ministry was started by Lutheran West alumna Alli Younger '17, who was featured in last week's edition of our Alumni Office's alumni spotlight series (read here).

Because of the Governor's current shelter-in-place mandate, we can not legally offer Lutheran West as a drop-off site at this time. Items can be dropped off at Bethany Lutheran Church (6041 Ridge Road, Parma) or Messiah Lutheran Church (21485 Lorain Road, Fairview Park).

If you know of a family in need of this type of support (either one-time or ongoing), pick-up locations are Bethany Lutheran and Messiah Lutheran, by appointment. To schedule an appointment and/or for more information, contact:
