The drama program at Lutheran West allows students to explore their interests and improve their skills in all areas of theatre. Not only are our students actors on stage, but they also work hard behind the scenes creating sets and props, making hand-made costumes, designing light and sound plots, creating hair and makeup styles, and ushering during performances. Students involved in our drama program can also join Lutheran West’s active chapter of the International Thespian Society.
“The Play That Goes Wrong [ High School Edition ]”
Friday, November 22 – 7:00 PM
Saturday, November 23 – 7:00 PM
Sunday, November 24 – 2:00 PM
Tickets will go on sale in early November.
Our two major productions during each school year are a full-length play in the fall and a musical production in the spring. It is common for close to twenty percent of our student body to be involved in the musical, whether as on-stage talent, crew members, pit band, audio/visual technicians, costume designers, set designers, and more.
In recent years, productions have included Fiddler on the Roof, CLUE On Stage: High School Edition, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Singin’ in the Rain, and more.
Lutheran West’s acclaimed drama program allows students to explore all areas of theatrical performance from acting, singing, and dancing on stage to working behind the scenes to create sets, lighting, and costumes. Our 490-seat performing arts facility is undergoing an expansion of its backstage areas, making even more room for actors and set construction.”
