Lutheran West Hires Dana Raponi as Next Head Women’s Soccer Coach

May 7, 2026

Lutheran West Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Dana Raponi as its next Head Women’s Soccer Coach.

Coach Raponi currently serves as a coach with North FC Soccer Club, where she has  worked with a wide range of athletes—from youth developmental groups all the way through the high school level. She notes that these experiences have helped her to shape a coaching philosophy centered on skill development, game understanding, and helping players to gain and maintain a true love for the game.

Prior to North FC, Raponi coached at several Northeast Ohio high schools, including Berea-Midpark, Elyria Catholic, Beachwood, and Avon Lake.

The Athletic Department values and welcomes Coach Raponi’s ability to combine high-level soccer development and a competitive mindset with an emphasis on lifelong lessons such as accountability, trust, resilience, and strong work ethic, while also fostering Christian values including integrity, servant leadership, and respect for self and others.

Coach Raponi says, “I am excited to bring my passion for coaching, player development, and leadership to the Lutheran West girls’ soccer program. As I step into my role at Lutheran West, I recognize that this program is continuing to grow, and I am excited for the opportunity to help build it with purpose and consistency. My vision is to create a program that is both competitive and grounded in strong character. I am committed to creating an environment where players feel supported, challenged, and inspired—both in their athletic growth and in their personal faith journeys.”
