Lutheran West Announces Turf & Track Renovation Project for Outdoor Athletic Facilities

Lutheran West is pleased to announce an upcoming renovation project for our outdoor athletic facilities, beginning later this fall. This project is made possible through the generous support of our Lutheran West community.

The turf on both the football/soccer field and the baseball/softball field will be completely replaced starting in early November, with this part of the project slated to be complete by the first of the year.

The new turf will feature updated Lutheran West colors and graphics, as shown in the renderings below. The turf will be produced and installed by Cincinnati-based company The Motz Group, known for the superior quality and safety standards of their product. 

Following the conclusion of the school year, the track will also be replaced, with work scheduled to take place from June 1 through the beginning of August. The track component of the project will also be handled start-to-finish by The Motz Group.

Lutheran West administration shares their excitement about this timely project. 

“The existing turf on both field surfaces, as well as the entire track, are all in need of replacement to improve safety, ease of maintenance, and aesthetics,” says Mike Palm ‘00, Athletic Director, “We’re happy to see this project come to fruition and we’re excited to see the work get started.”
