Faith & Service: the Cornerstones of Lutheran West

Christian faith is the cornerstone of all aspects of the Lutheran West student experience.

Woven into curricular and extra-curricular activities, students are taught Christian principles both in theory and in practice. When asked what they appreciate most about their experience at Lutheran West, students and alumni cite the Christian community and faith-centered environment.

Faith in Practice at Lutheran West

Each week, students, faculty, and staff attend a school-wide Chapel service. During this time set apart for worship and reflection, our school community comes together to grow and celebrate their faith. Chapel also provides an ideal opportunity to make school-wide announcements, to come together in prayer, and to build the strength of the Lutheran West school community. Chapel services feature music from the Chapel Band, testimonies and messages from faculty/staff, students, alumni, and local community members.

Each student takes a Faith Formation course during all four years of high school. Subject areas discussed in Faith Formation courses include the history of the Christian faith, Christian principles, and Christian ethics.
