A Message from Principal Michael Waugh '02
Lutheran West is more than just a high school.
It’s a place where you can grow, explore, and develop. It’s an encouraging community rooted in Christian values, and a community in which you will be welcomed, mentored, and cared for.
I know this from personal experience. As a proud alumnus, I can personally attest to the lifelong friendships and meaningful relationships with teachers, coaches, and peers that await you at Lutheran West. As a faculty member, I was able to serve in the role of impactful educator, coach, and Christian mentor to the next generation of Longhorns. As principal, I am more confident in our mission and more excited about the future of Lutheran West than ever before.
Your high school years are a time to challenge yourself, make new friends, and explore your passions for sports, music, theater, fine arts, service, and more. They are a time to stretch your aspirations and to develop a sense of your life’s direction and purpose. You will find the opportunity to grow in your faith, in your personal relationship with God, and in your sense of service for your community and for those in need.
Lutheran West is a place where you can pursue excellence. My hope is that it is also a place you will call “home.” Please come visit us and explore all of the amazing opportunities available as a Lutheran West Longhorn!
