2nd out of 4 at Quad Meet

Lutheran West Women’s track team earned a second place finish in a quad meet at Independence High School. The 4x800 team won their event with a team consisting of juniors Marissa Nuti and Lindsey Tomola, freshman Katie Snable, and senior Michelle Britton.  Junior Marissa Nuti won the 800m run with a time of 2:40.7. Sophomore Olivia Vasiloff came in second place for the 3200m run with a time of 12.39.9 and junior Nicole Swanson also earned second in high jump by jumping 4’6”.
The Lady Longhorns finished in the top two places for the 100m hurdles.  Senior Becca Coyne finished first with a time of 18.4 and junior Allison Henry finished second with a time of 18.8.  Junior Marissa Spelich came in second for the 300m hurdles with a time of 54.5.  All of the other relay teams helped contribute to Lutheran West’s success with second place finishes. Freshman Johanna Ragland, throwing shot put, and junior Amanda Stephens, throwing discus, both finished in fourth place. The team looks forward to running in their next meet at Brooklyn High School.
