HAMILTON BADIN --  After an exhausting five hours on the bus, LW quickly turned their first game of the Cincinnati trip into a yawner by giving Hamilton Badin five runs—four of which were unearned—in the bottom of the first inning, and never even scored themselves in the entire game.

After struggling with his control in the first inning, senior starter Billy Valletto (L, 0-2) settled in allowing only two base runners in the next three innings and only one other earned run—two runs total—for the rest of the game.

Offensively, LW was shut down by Hamilton Badin’s pitching. The Longhorn offense—which has been decidedly inconsistent thus far this season—was consistently non-existent in Thursday’s game. Only twice did LW get more than one runner on base in an inning, and only once did LW get a runner to third. Never did they get one home.
