The Senney Honors Academy is leading an “Anything but Food Drive." This drive supports the foster care youth of Cuyahoga County. Suggested donations include games, books, clothing, toys, school supplies, toiletries...really anything but food! Monetary donations are welcomed and will be used to purchase additional items. Donation boxes are in your religion teacher's classroom until January 17th and there is a reward for the class with the most donations. Please help us in supporting foster care youth.
College Credit Plus Night: College Credit Plus Ohio’s dual enrollment program that provides students the opportunity to earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking courses from Ohio colleges. You are invited to participate in the upcoming Lutheran West Chic Unique Boutique being held at Lutheran West High School Saturday March 28th 9-4pm. We have had a huge success bringing back our Lutheran West Unique Boutique. The student body is excited to promote the event along with the surrounding churches that are affiliated with our students. We had over 50 vendors last year and plan to have even more this coming year. Please contact me if you have any questions. Lutheran West Cheerleading is hosting a Mini Longhorns Winter Cheer Program in late January for any children in grades K-5. The program consists of two practice sessions/clinics (5:00 - 6:30 PM on Wed. 1/22 and Mon. 1/27) plus a special performance at halftime of the varsity basketball game on Friday, 1/31 (game start time is 7:30 PM). Cost is $40 per participant and includes a t-shirt and performance bow. Service Hour Opportunity: The Rocky River Public Library has created an amazing ongoing service opportunity for our students if they are interested in getting their approved agency hours. The library website has a tab called events and programs and under that tab you can select teen volunteer opportunities. There are volunteer opportunities for everyone. Students can choose interactive service opportunities to help with programs or they can choose individual activities like toy washing or wiping DVD's, creating social media content. There is something for every personality and they run all the time so you can just look at the calendar to see what fits. Don't wait until the end of the year to get started, they need help all year.
