Mission Statement:

The purpose of the Cleveland Lutheran Educational Endowment Fund (CLEEF) shall be to further the educational program of the Cleveland Lutheran High School Association by engaging in a comprehensive deferred and current giving program to raise funds and hold and invest these funds for the benefit of the Association.

Established in 1985, the Cleveland Lutheran Educational Endowment Fund (CLEEF) has provided the high schools with additional income necessary to meet the day-to-day operational costs associated with running our two schools.

A strong endowment provides income for operating expenses that would otherwise need to be raised through tuition increases. Today, the market value of CLEEF exceeds $5.1 million. Over the past 25 years, this investment has generated over $3.7 million for the operating budgets of our high schools. Without this income stream of third source giving, the burden of covering operating expenses would fall on our families.

The Cleveland Lutheran Educational Endowment Fund is generally funded through planned gifts. We invite you to share in the future of the Cleveland Lutheran High School Association by remembering this ministry in your charitable giving or deferred gift planning.

CLEEF Awards

The Cleveland Lutheran Educational Endowment Fund annually presents two prestigious awards in recognition of leadership and special talents as demonstrated by servant members of the community and young leaders in our elementary schools.

Recipients of the awards are selected by the Projects Committee of the CLEEF Board of Directors from nominations submitted by community and elementary school principals.

The CLEEF Awards are given in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord for blessing the ministry of the CLHSA with dedicated servants and Christian young people. Their leadership and commitment and willingness to live out their Christian faith on a daily basis, contribute to the ongoing mission of Christ-centered secondary education.

I have really come to appreciate ... the manner in which the faculty challenged me both academically and spiritually, encouraged me to be a leader, follow my dreams, and always do my very best.
