Soccer Team Serves at Lakeside Men's Shelter

On February 27th, 2012, the players and parents of the Lutheran West men’s soccer team went to 2100 Lakeside men’s shelter. The men’s shelter is an affiliation of Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry. The soccer team was there to serve "for those who are oppressed, forgotten, and hurting".

The team filled water cups, placed food on trays, and interacted and served over 500 individuals. It was a very unique experience for everyone involved. This service allowed everyone to realize how blessed we really are, how important food can be, and how fortunate enough we are to go to a Christian school.
