John Raquet, Class of 1985

Those who went to school with John during his years at Lutheran West, remeber him as either having a basketball in his hands or a stack of books.  He seemed to excel at anything he put his mind to achieve, all the while remaining very humble. After graduating as the valedictorian  he pursued a college career at the U.S. Air Force Academy and received a B.S. in astronautical engineering. While at MIT, John "developed an innovative, fuel-efficient, collision-avoidance and docking system for the Space Shuttle."  Read more about his chance to be a flight test engineer, the part he played in testing the innovative GPS and his career as Director of the Autonomy and Navigation Technology Center (ANT) at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) located on Wright Patterson AFB.
